Academic Accomplishment

I obtained my PhD degree in Physics from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2018. Previously, I obtained my bachelor degree in Physics from Nanjing University in 2014. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in Advanced Materials Thrust of HKUST(GZ). Previously, I was a post-doctoral researcher in Prof. Xiang Zhang’s group in HKU. My research focuses on metamaterials, characterized by ensembles of artificial structures designed to possess material properties beyond natural ones. Specifically, my academic experience spans on a variety of areas of wave metamaterials, including designing functional metamaterials for extraordinary manipulations, and exploring topological physics of classical waves through metamaterials. Until now, I have authored more than 30 journal papers, 12 as the first author or co-first author, 6 as the co-corresponding author, and have published in top journals such as Nature Communications and Physical Review Letters. Google Scholar shows that my total citation is more than 1100, in which more than 700 citations belong to papers that I am the first-author, co-first author or (co-)corresponding author. My h-index is 18.
